Food is fantastic, but the chili needs more meat.

My wife and I came here for a quick dinner after going to the movies. I had the large tri-tip sandwich and my wife had the pastrami sandwich. Both were very good. They have a pot of heated, homemade BBQ sauce, which you can ladle onto your sandwich. I love the flavor of their BBQ sauce!! You also have the choice of veggies. In addition, they also have started selling cherry and apple cobblers. I had cherry and thought it was good but too many flavors for me with coconut and another flavor added in. I prefer my cobbler simple! That said, it's a quick and good place to eat!

This is good ol' 'merican food. The clam chowder was good and thick in a gigantic bread bowl.

Fridays you can count on clam chowder bread bowls. Though not quite as “chowdery” as I’d like, they’re Porter St. Signature delicious. There’s plenty of bacon and potatoes in it. The ribs are a fall off the bone delight and the tri-tip is always a must have

Very friendly staff. Will definitely come back when in town. Hot link sandwich was delicious, ribs were tender, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection!

Good BBQ. Reheated on a flat top grill. Usually that's not a good idea. However, it works well here. Good rub flavor. Nice smoke. Heated BBQ sauce. I have yet to try a sandwich. They look really delicious.

This is the best BBQ in Eureka. The staff is friendly and helpful and the prices are very fair for BBQ. It is a really small place and the parking is not great but it is worth it for the food. I had the chili for one of my sides and it would have been acceptable as an entree.

Always a great bit to eat they're always quick with my order...wish it didn't cost me $40 for 2 lunch combos but not many other options around here 🤷

"Barbeque"...pfft...hardly an excuse for what I ate. The smell inside the building was quite pleasing, but the food itself was disappointing. I ordered a tri-tip sandwich. First of all, the meat didn't taste like BBQ at all. It tasted like it was oven roasted with an overload of spices. The meat also tasted...old? I don't know. Also, the sauce didn't even taste like barbeque sauce. The only way I can describe it is a dollar store quality Chinese stir-fry sauce that's way beyond it's expiration date.I may have just visited on a bad day, but I don't know.

The food here is outstanding. Prices are a little on the high end but I've never left disappointed or hungry.

Used to wait in the Wendy’s drive thru. Always wanted to check this place out. I now pay the same amount I used to pay for Wendy’s, but I’m eating mouth watering Tri-tip, ribs, chicken, potato salad ( sampler platter). They have other items too, you won’t regret checking it out.

My friends and I went to Porter Street BBQ this evening and I can say without any mental reservation or hesitation...."If you visit Eureka without dropping in at Porter Street BBQ....you haven't been to Eureka!" The quality of the BBQ was outstanding and qualities of the staff was equally exceptional. Great experience!!!

I had the small Tri-Tip sandwich and it was packed with delicious meat! They have a bar where you and add all the toppings you want plus a warm pot with great BBQ sauce. Friendly staff and clean seating. You can sit and watch the traffic on 101 and enjoy your food and good music.

This place is definitely one of the coolest place in the neighborhood. Anytime I go there I am very glad. They hold their high standard service and the topmost level of food they serve. You definitely will enjoy this this restaurant. Highly recommended.

I go here all the time. The staff is awesome. The sports meal is the best deal in town. I get that on Fridays and my family is still eating on it on Sunday. Super good.

Worst bbq I ever ate! Or better... tried to eat. After 2 bites I left this place! Chewy, dry and flavorless!! Told the owner but it seemed they didn’t understand what I was saying. Maybe I ve to improve my english. Zero stars!!!

Always my first stop when I visit Eureka. Best beef and pork sandwiches. Beef sandwich with extra quarter lb. of beef. Awesome!!!

Large tri-tip 1 slice extra cheese sandwich from Porter Street, ready in 5 to 15 minutes, lots of meat, but $16!! In the bay area 16$ got me a footlong better quality same thing delivered by grubhub at 1am. But it's all we have

Always Love going to Porter Street BBQ for the Tri Tip and Clam chowder but the Chicken and Wild Rice was Amazing !!!!

Quite pricey, but the food is just so phenomenal. Especially the special sauce. I absolutely love the sauce. I would definitely go more often if it was cheaper though, that is why I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5.

The tri-tip sandwich is still one of the best around. Sauce is made to perfection so make sure to slather it on in abundance and don't skimp out on the toppings. Fountain sodas are refillable - good thing since you'll be thirsty. I just wish the bread used for the sandwiches was a little better than average run-of-the-mill bread. It tastes cheap but soaks up the sauce pretty well.Check out a Tri-tip 'which' and let other guides know what you think.

Yeah this place is excellent! Tender fall of the bone ribs. Chicken extremely moist. It's all good. You will not be disappointed. Try the sampler plate. You get delicious BBQ meats with sides and garlic bread. You definitely won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Yea this place just isnt any good. The ribs are gross and both times I've got them they needed to be cooked for at least another hour. Need a chisel to get it off the bone. I've had their sandwiches three times. Two of the three it tasted like frozen meat reheated in a bag via microwave. The other time it was actually pretty good. Not sure what they did. If it werent for the sole sandwich that was good this place would get the illustrious one star. I won't be going back for at least a year.

I would've given it a -zero. Maybe for people who live here and never eaten anywhere else it's great, but this was horrible and EXPENSIVE. $21 for a sandwich. I just threw it away. The side of coleslaw was a joke, because it was just generic. I guess it's an expensive place, because California is expensive - I get it, but to have horrible food for that cost????The soup was salty. The pulled pork was just godawful. Nice people, lousy food.

Friendly down home barbecue with meets prepared to your specifications. Order at counter and they deliver to your table. Tri tip sandwich was large, clam chowder very good, bbq by the pound or half pound. Lots of sides to choose from.
